We Stand in Solidarity with the New York Press Club

In re-posting this note of protest issued by the New York Press Club, the Los Angeles Press Club stands with our colleagues in New York, across the country and around the world, in recognizing the critical importance of the unimpeded daily work of the presidential press pool.

As the new administration proceeds with its transition toward inauguration, the L.A. Press Club affirms its long standing and unyielding commitment to the principles of transparency and accountability that are the life blood of a free and vital press.

We welcome opportunities to work in conjunction with fellow journalists in support of these principles, and to argue for the absolute centrality of an informed electorate in the life of the republic.
